Earlier in the year, I led a collaborative project to create a marketing campaign for The Idle Man, following a live brief set in the 2014/15 YCN Student Awards for Europe.

The list of commended students was released a few days ago and I am very happy to announce my group have won a commendation!

Our campaign revolved around the use of the slogan “Beyond the Rail”, inviting consumers to forego shopping on the high street and instead browse the online-only mens retailer from the comfort of their own home. We created an advert designed for broadcast on television or online viewing, along with an animated digital banner and a series of short social media ads to flesh out the campaign.

Several shots from our project can be seen in my showreel and now that the commendations have been announced, I will be adding the project to my portfolio in the near future.

Our group will be invited to the YCN awards ceremony in London this September and our work will also be showcased in the upcoming issue of the YCN Student Annual.
